| Four
post shelving is a term used to describe shelving that uses four posts. Most manufacturers
refer to this shelving today as L&T shelving. The term comes from the "L"
shaped post at each end and for intermediate sections of shelving there is a "T"
shape post. The "T" shape post saves money, as only one post is needed
as two units come together. This saves both on time to install and the cost of
each shelving unit. Library
style four post shelving is where the "L & T" post have an additional
steel plate welded in the post to make sure no items can get caught inside the
"L or T" post. Click
